Roar is an anger-management application for users of all ages, developed by Circadify LLC. It offers guided exercises and real-time conversational support powered by artificial intelligence (AI). Your privacy is critical to us. This Privacy Policy describes what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.
1. Information We Collect
- Device Identifier (Mandatory) – We generate and store an anonymous device ID exclusively to detect and prevent fraud or abuse of Roar's freemium features. It cannot identify you personally.
- Email Address (Optional) – If you choose to create an account, we collect your email address for authentication, subscription management, and account recovery.
- No Personal Names or Demographics – Roar does not ask for or store your name, age, gender, or other demographic details.
- Chat Content – Roar uses OpenAI's real-time and standard APIs to deliver conversational coaching. Chats are streamed to the model in real-time and are not logged, stored, or shared beyond what is technically required to generate a response.
2. What We Never Collect
- No advertising identifiers.
- No GPS or precise location data.
- No health records or sensitive medical information.
- No data selling or sharing with third-party advertisers.
3. How We Use Information
- Fraud & Abuse Prevention – The device ID helps ensure our freemium and subscription offerings are not misused.
- Account Services – Optional account emails allow login, subscription verification, and preference sync.
- Product Improvement – Aggregated, anonymized analytics (e.g., feature usage counts) help us improve Roar. These analytics cannot be linked back to an individual.
4. Children's Privacy
Roar complies with the Children's Online Privacy Protection Act (COPPA) and similar global regulations. We collect only the minimum data necessary (anonymous device ID). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 without parental consent. Contact us immediately if you believe we have inadvertently collected such data.
5. Data Retention
• Anonymous device IDs: stored as long as required to maintain platform integrity.
• Optional account emails: retained until you delete your account.
• Chat content: never stored.
6. Data Sharing
We do not sell, rent, or trade any personal data. We may share anonymous, aggregated statistics with service providers or academic partners, but these statistics cannot identify you. We comply with lawful data requests only when legally required.
7. Security
We employ industry-standard security measures such as HTTPS encryption and secure server infrastructure to protect your data from unauthorized access, alteration, or destruction.
8. Your Rights & Choices
- Use Roar without creating an account and we will collect only the anonymous device ID.
- Request deletion of your email and associated data at any time by emailing support@circadify.com.
- Disable optional analytics within the app settings (if offered).
9. International Data Transfers
Roar operates on servers located in the United States. If you access Roar from outside the U.S., you consent to your data being processed and stored in the U.S. under this Privacy Policy.
10. Apple App Store Compliance
Roar is distributed via the Apple App Store for iOS devices. All payments, including the optional yearly subscription, are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase (IAP) system. Circadify does not receive your credit-card number; Apple provides only a transaction ID to unlock premium content.
Apple may collect its own analytics per Apple's Privacy Policy. Any data exchanged directly with Apple is governed by Apple, not this policy.
11. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy periodically. Material changes will be communicated in-app or via email (if provided). Using Roar after such changes means you accept the revised policy.
